Hi, I'm Jim, welcome to my website.     

 I'm a guitar player/vocalist based in Calgary, Alberta. I also play lap steel guitar.

I hosted the jam at Station 52 every Thursday night for four years. I now host the jam at the King Eddy Pub in downtown Strathmore every Thursday.

 I work primarily with my trio, "Sidewinder". Sidewinder presently features Alida Schedel on drums and FABULOUS vocals and Al Himor on bass. You can now hear clips of us playing live on the "Music and Video" page.

 Sidewinder also expands to a four piece with piano players such as Keith Floen and Marty Antonini, or steel guitarist Doug Aman. I also have a duo in Medicine Hat with Tim Herman called any number of things including "The Hernia Brothers with Azimuth".              

 Although we play primarily cover tunes, I also write my own material some of which will end up on a CD for sale on this very site if we ever get the renos done in the basement studio.
