Hi, I'm Jim, welcome to my website.     

 I'm a guitar player/vocalist based in Calgary, Alberta. I also play lap steel guitar.

I hosted the jam at Station 52 every Thursday night for four years, the jam at the King Eddy Pub in downtown Strathmore for over a year, and the acoustic jam at the Wildfire Grill in Langdon in 2010.

 I'm now working with Matt Beatty and the Hot Tamales most weekends and every Sunday night at the Winking Owl in Deer Run.

I also work with my trio, "Sidewinder". Sidewinder presently features Alida Schedel on drums and FABULOUS vocals and either Ray Duhaime or JC MacDonald on bass. You can now hear and see clips of us playing live on the "Music and Video" page.

 I also have a duo in Medicine Hat with Tim Herman that expands to a trio with Chris Streifel on drums called the Hernia Bros.              

 Although we play primarily cover tunes, I also write my own material some of which will end up on a CD for sale on this very site if we ever get the renos done in the basement studio.
